Application keys, in conjunction with your org’s API key, give users access to Datadog’s programmatic API. Application keys are associated with the user account that created them and have the permissions and capabilities of the user who created them.
To generate API Key visit https://app.datadoghq.com/account/settings#api or go manually using option from the left navigation bar, Click on
Integrations
→API

2. From the sections of the next page click on API Keys
section & generate one API key keep its value copied somewhere safe for later use, ( This is sensitive key shall not be shared publicallypublicly)

3. Now to generate Application Key
visit Team
section in left navigation bar,

4. On the next page select navigate to the section Application Keys
& generate one application key. Keep it copied somewhere safe for later use. ( This is sensitive key shall not be shared publically publicly )
Note: While copying Application key copy KEY,
not KEY ID
a copy button appears dynamically to extreme right when you hover over the application key entry.

8. The entry of Datadog-1
instance will appear in your Applications
section click on it,

10. Fill in API Key
obtained from step 2 above into section API key generated using Datadog Admin Role
& fill in the Application Key
Obtained from step 4 above into section Application key generated using Datadog Admin Role
then click Next
