Overview

This document provides instructions on how to connect to an API to import data from this application into your instance of Zilla.

In this guide, you will:

  1. Launch your application from inside Zilla

  2. Set up an API configuration

  3. Send your data securely to Zilla

Step-by-Step Instructions

This page outlines the process of configuring and using the PagerDuty API through Zilla to sync groups and users.

To sync data we recommend using the API method. However, you may also sync data with our Browser Extension, follow instructions here: PagerDuty - Browser Extension.

Get the API Token:

  1. Visit the PagerDuty account.

  2. Click Integrations in the top bar and select API Access Keys option.

  3. Click Create New API Key option.

  4. Add Description and click Create Key

  5. Display New API Key .Copy the key and save it for a later step and click close .

Set up PagerDuty Application Integration on Zilla:

  1. Visit Zilla application and login using admin credentials and then click Add Application in the top right.

  2. A window with a search bar appears, type in PagerDuty in the search bar. PagerDuty app entry will appear at the top of the list, click Add to Applications button to the right.

  3. Fill in the form with appropriate details and then click Add to Applications button.

  4. You will see the PagerDuty app added to applications tab, click on it.

  5. A detailed view of PagerDuty application appears. Click Sync now link in the top right corner.

  6. Enable API Integration option from the dialog.

  7. Add the configuration details saved above: API key ,then click Update.

  8. Click Next.

  9. Click Done. PagerDuty sync has completed message displayed.

When you have finished with all the steps above, review the information in Zilla that was synced.
