Note: To do this operation you need to be an admin with Zilla (specifically SuperAdmin role) and you must have admin access to the Google Workspace admin console (specifically Super Admin role).

  1. Login to Zilla with your admin credentials.

2. You will see your Zilla Applications tab, click Add Application button in the top right.

3. Type google workspace into the search bar. You will see an entry for Google Workspace, click Add to Applications button to the right.

4. Fill in the form with appropriate details and then click Add to Applications button.

5. The Google Workspace instance will get added to your Applications, click on the Google Workspace application name.

6. A detailed view of Google Workspace application appears. Click Sync now in top right corner.

7. A dialog appears, enable API Integration by clicking the slider below.

8. Upon enabling the API Integration more customization options appear:

  • Your Google Workspace organization domain or customer id (mandatory)

Google Workspace organization domain: If you do not have multiple domains in Google Workspace, then enter your primary domain. For example, if your email is jane.doe@example.com then your Google Workspace domain is most likely, example.com. This is a mandatory field. To accurately identify domain, login to https://admin.google.com/ Google Workspace admin console. Go to Manage domains and choose the value to the left of Primary Domain marked with a directional red arrow in the following screenshot:

Google Workspace organization customer Id: If your organization has multiple domains, then enter the ‘Customer Id’ of the Google Workspace. This enables Zilla to sync accounts for all domains that are part of the organization. To find out your ‘Customer Id’, please go to the Google Admin → Account Settings page that is typically at this URL https://admin.google.com/ac/accountsettings/profile?hl=en.

Fill in the appropriate value and click Next.

 

9. Click Next.

10. You will be taken to Google Workspace site where you need to log in with the user with Super Admin role for Google Workspace and grant consent on behalf of the organization.

Note: Zilla’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

 

You May receive the following warning from Google. In this case, select Advanced then select Go to app.zillasecurity.com.

Note: This Zilla integration with Google Workspace is in the process of being verified.

 

Click Allow and on successful OAuth, you will be redirected to Zilla with a Sync in progress... message for newly added Google Workspace application.

11. On successful sync, you will see the following notification:
