Overview

This article provides instructions on how to connect to an API to import data from your application into Zilla. You will launch your application from Zilla, set up an API configuration, and send your data securely to Zilla.

 

Generate API credentials in WP Engine

  1. Login to WP Engine using your root account.

  2. Navigate to Users→ API access.

  3. Click Generate credentials.

4. Copy the API Username and API Password for a later step as you will not be able to view them again.

 

5. Also note down Account Name displayed on top left corner.

 

Setup WP Engine Application Integration on Zilla

  1. Visit the Zilla application and login using your admin credentials and then click on Add Application in the top right.

2. A window with a search bar appears, type in WP Engine in the search bar and hit enter. WP Engine app entry will appear at the top of the list, click Add to Applications button to the right.

 

3.Fill in the form with appropriate details and then click Add to Applications.

 

4.The WP Engine app will be added to the applications tab.

5.A detailed view of WP Engine application appears. Click Sync now in top right corner.

6. Enable API Integration. Enter the API Username , API password and Account Name obtained above into the respective text boxes and click Sync Now/Next.

 

7. Click Next and the sync will begin click Done.

8. Successful sync will pop up below details of sync.

 

When you have finished with all the steps above, review the information in Zilla that was synced.
