Databricks
Overview
This article provides instructions on how to connect to an API to import data from your application into Zilla. You will launch your application from Zilla, set up an API configuration, and send your data securely to Zilla.
Obtaining required configuration from Databricks Account
Login to the Databricks Account console as
Account adminuser.Copy the Account ID from the User Profile button, keep it handy for a future step.
Go to
User management→Service principals.Add service principal with name
zilla-service.Click on the
zilla-serviceservice principal.Copy the UUID of the service principal, keep it handy for a future step.
Navigate to the Roles tab and assign the
Account adminrole for zilla-service.Navigate back to Principal information tab and generate OAuth Secret by clicking on the
Generate secretbutton. Copy the Secret and keep it handy for a future step.
Set up Databricks application in Zilla
Visit Zilla application and login using your admin credentials and then click
Add Applicationin the top right.
A window with a search bar appears, type in Databricks in the search bar and hit enter. Databricks app entry will appear at the top of the list, click
Add to Applicationsto the right.
Fill in the form with appropriate details and then click
Add to Applications.
A detailed view of
databricksapplication appears. ClickSync nowin top right corner.
Enable API Integration in the below pop-up.
Enter the
Account ID,Service Principal's UUIDandService Principal's OAuth Secretobtained in earlier steps in the respective boxes and clickNext.
Click
Nextand the sync will start.
Click on
Done.
Check the Sync summary, then click on
Close.
When you have finished with all the steps above, review the information in Zilla that was synced.
