User Tags

User Tags

Overview

The tagging feature is a helpful way to identify a specific subset of users in Zilla which can then be used to filter by in an Access Review.

Scope: Admins

This article covers the following topics:

Prerequisites

  • Customer has provided Zilla Security with a list of the user email addresses and desired tag names

Tag Examples

A common use case for customers who use the tagging feature is to identify users who have had a title or department change in a given time frame.

After tags are applied, the access review can then have a filter applied to only include users with a specific tag. This ensures the only users included in the review are those who have undergone a title or department change. The Tags field is found on the Users tab Zilla.

Applying Tags

Tags are applied by Database Administrators at Zilla Security after the customer has provided Zilla Security with a list of the user email addresses and the desired tag name(s).

The DBA then takes this list of emails and tag names and updates the Directory User records in the Zilla database where there is an exact match for user email address (as this is a required field for Directory Users). If there is an email address in the list provided by the customer that is not an exact match in the list of Directory Users in the database, no tag update will be applied.
