User Tags
Summary: The tagging feature is a helpful way to identify a specific subset of Users in Zilla which can then be used to filter by in an Access Review. For example, a common use case for customers who use the tagging feature is to identify Users who have had a Title or Department change in a given time frame. After the tags have been applied, the Access Review can then have a filter applied to only include Users with this specific tag, as a way of ensuring the only Users included in the Review are employees who have undergone a Title or Department change.
The picture below shows the Tags field which is found on a Directory User in Zilla:
How Are Tags Applied? Tags are applied by Database Administrators at Zilla Security. A requirement for applying the tags is for the customer to provide Zilla Security with a list of the user email addresses & desired tag name. The DBA then takes this list of emails & tag names to accordingly update the Directory User records in the Zilla database where there is an exact match on user email address (as this is a required field for Directory Users). If there is an email address in the list provided by the customer that is not found as an exact match in our list of Directory Users in the database, no tag update will be applied.
