Buildkite: API Integration

Steps to obtain the Organization slug and API access token.

Steps to Obtain Organization slug:

  1. Navigate to the Buildkite login page: Buildkite Login. Enter your credentials and log in to your account.

  2. Once logged in, click on Settings located at the top left of the dashboard.

  3. You will be redirected to the Organization Settings page, locate the organization slug on this page and copy the slug and save it for future use.

Steps to create an API Access Token:

  1. Navigate to the Buildkite login page: Buildkite Login. Enter your credentials and log in to your account.

  2. From the top right corner, click on Personal Settings.

  3. Select API Access Tokens, then click on New API Access Token.

  4. You will be prompted to enter your password, enter your password and click Confirm Password.

  5. You will be redirected to a form.

  6. Enter the Description as: Zilla API integration.

  7. Select your Organization from the dropdown.

  8. Scroll down and check Enable GraphQL API Access.

  9. Click Create New Access Token.

  10. Copy the access token from the UI and save it for future use.

NOTE: Take a copy of this token now, as you will not be able to see this again.

Setup Buildkite Application API Integration in Zilla

  1. Visit the Zilla application and login using your admin credentials and then click on Add Application in the top right.

  1. A window with a search bar appears, type in Buildkite in the search bar and hit enter. Buildkite app entry will appear at the top of the list, click Add to Applications button to the right.

  1. Fill in the form with appropriate details and then click Add to Applications.

  1. A detailed view of Buildkite application appears. Click Sync now in top right corner.

  1. Enable API Integration. Add the configuration details into the respective text boxes and click Next.

  1. Click Next again and the sync will begin. Then click Done.

  1. Successful sync will pop up with Sync Summary. Click Close.
