Zilla First Time Setup Guide
Configure Single Sign-On
Your Zilla Security tenant requires that a Single Sign-On provider is configured in order for reviewers to sign in. Setting up SSO will allow for both admins and reviewers to sign in seamlessly with your IDP.
We support multiple options:
Configure a User Directory (Source of Truth)
Your Zilla tenant requires that there is an external user directory. The data from this directory will be used as truth, to compare your app users and app data against. Changes to users are made in your user directory and applications directly, as users are not editable in Zilla by design.
A directory can be any application, and is not limited to what is in our catalogue.
To add your directory,
Add an application from our catalogue, or choose a custom one
Navigate to your account settings (gear icon)
“Designate a Directory” by selecting your chosen app from the list
Sync data for the first time
It is important to “designate a directory” before syncing data from that app for the first time.
Common Directory Types:
Azure AD (now known as Entra ID)
Any other application in our catalogue

There are 3 ways to import application data into Zilla,
API
CSV Upload
Zilla Universal Sync (ZUS) - Browser Extension
When adding an application to your tenant, first search our app catalogue by navigating to the “Applications” tab, and clicking “Add Application”.
Any currently supported API-synced apps will appear in this catalogue, and their setup articles can be found here.
If you cannot find the app you are looking for, select “Custom Application” in Zilla.
You will have the choice between using the .csv method, or our ZUS browser extension.
