Steps To Create a Basecamp OAuth App

  1. Open Basecamp Launchpad Console. Click on Register one now link.

2. Fill in the required fields.

3. Select Basecamp 4 from Products section and paste https://app.zillasecurity.com/api/auth/callback/basecamp in the Redirect URI field under OAuth 2 section. Next click Register this app.

 

4. Now go to your newly created OAuth app by clicking the app name link.

5. Copy both Client ID and Client Secret and save for a later step.

 

6. To get Admin Account ID, log into your Basecamp Admin account. In the URL, you will find your Admin Account ID. For example, if your URL is https://3.basecamp.com/12345/ then Admin Account ID will be 12345.

 

Setup Basecamp Application Integration on Zilla

  1. Visit Zilla application and login using your admin credentials and then click Add Application in the top right.

 

2. A window with a search bar appears, type in basecamp. Basecamp app entry will appear at the top of the list, click Add to Applications button to the right.

3. Fill in the form with appropriate details and then click Add to Applications.

4. The Basecamp application instance is added to applications tab section, click on it.

5. A detailed view of Basecamp application appears. Click Sync now in top right corner.

6. Enable API Integration. Find the Client ID, Client Secret and Admin Account ID you obtained in a step above and enter them into the Client ID, Client Secret and Admin Account ID boxes, respectively.

7. Click Sync Now, you will be redirected to a consent screen. Click Yes, I'll allow access button to start the sync.
