Drift

Overview

This article provides instructions on how to connect to an API to import data from your application into Zilla. You will launch your application from Zilla, set up an API configuration, and send your data securely to Zilla.

 

This page describes the steps required to sync Drift account data with Zilla using API integration. To sync security settings, use the Browser Extension integration: Drift Security Settings - Browser Extension.

Create An App on Drift

  1. Visit your profile on Drift.

  2. Then click on Switch apps on the left bottom corner of the page.

  3. Click on Developer Platform on the left panel.

  4. Click Create New App button.

  5. Fill in application details and click Oauth & Scopes.

    1. Fill in Add Redirect URL with https://app.zillasecurity.com/api/auth/callback/drift and click Add button. Select the scopes according to your preferences for example to read user select user_read.

  6. Click App Credentials and copy both Client ID and Secret ID for user in a later step.

Configuration of Zilla Application

  1. Login to Zilla application using your admin credentials and then click Add Application button in the right top corner.

  2. A window with a search bar appears, type in Drift in the search bar. Drift application entry will appear at the top of list, click Add to Applications button to the right.

  3. Fill in the form with appropriate details, then click Add to Applications button.

  4. The Drift application has been added to the Applications tab, click on it.

  5. A detailed view of Drift application appears, click Sync now in top right corner.

  6. Choose API Integration option from the dialog and add the configuration details, Client ID and Client Secret, saved from an earlier step. Click Next.

  7. Click Next

  8. You will be redirected to the Authorization page of Drift, click Allow and you are done.

 

When you have finished with all the steps above, review the information in Zilla that was synced.
