Metabase

Overview

This article provides instructions on how to use Zilla Universal Sync (ZUS) to import data (accounts, integrations and settings) from this application into your instance of Zilla. You will launch your application from Zilla, activate the ZUS browser extension while logged into your application as an admin, and send your data securely to Zilla.

Don’t have the ZUS Browser Extension? Download and install here.

 

  1. Login to Zilla with Admin credentials. Click Add Application in the top right corner.

  1. A window with a search bar appears, type metabase in the search bar. Metabase application entry will appear at the top of the list, click Add to Applications/ Add Another Instance button to the right.

  1. Fill in the form with appropriate details and click Add to Applications button.

  1. A detailed view of Metabase application appears. Click Sync now in top right corner.

  1. Enable Zilla Universal Sync (ZUS) option from the dialog and provide the Metabase People page URL and if you wish to do ZUS in the Cloud sync, then please check the Do you want to enable cloud sync? checkbox (Here, steps ahead is with cloud sync unchecked). Click Sync Now/Next.

  2. Read the instructions and click Launch Metabase.

  3. Login to Metabase if you are not already logged in. You will be redirected to Metabase People page.

 

  1. Click the browser extension icon located in the upper right of the window, and click Send to synchronize Users.

  2. A preview dialog will appear. Review the list and click Send.

  3. On Zilla, click Done

  1. View the sync summary and click on Close.

When you have finished with all the steps above, review the information in Zilla that was synced.
