Overview

This article provides instructions on how to connect to an API to import data from your application into Zilla. You will launch your application from Zilla, set up an API configuration, and send your data securely to Zilla.

 

Get the Monday API token

  • Login to your Monday.com account using your admin credentials.

  • You will be redirected to your board.

  • Click your avatar and click Administration.

  • On the left sidebar click API.

  • Copy the API token for future use.

Note:

  1. If you regenerate the API token then older tokens will be invalid.

  2. The API token is user specific so an API token has access to all the resources to which the user has access in Monday UI. Therefore we are asking to generate the token from the Admin account because they are the highest privileged user and have access to users and teams management.

Setup Monday Application API Integration on Zilla

  1. Visit the Zilla application and login using your admin credentials and then click on Add Application in the top right.

  1. A window with a search bar appears, type in Monday in the search bar and hit enter. Monday app entry will appear at the top of the list, click Add to Applications or Add Another Instance button to the right.

  1. Fill in the form with appropriate details and then click Add to Applications.

  1. The Monday app will be added to the Applications tab. Click on Monday in Application column. 

  2. You will be redirected to the detailed view of Monday application page. Click Sync now in top right corner.

  1. Enable API Integration. Enter the API token copied in an earlier step into the text box and click Sync Now/Next.

  2. Click Next and the sync will begin, then click Done.

  3. Click Done once sync completes.

  4. Successful sync will pop up with Sync Summary.

When you have finished with all the steps above, review the information in Zilla that was synced.
