New Relic API Integration

Overview

This document provides instructions on how to connect to an API to import data from this application into your instance of Zilla.

In this guide, you will:

  1. Launch your application from inside Zilla

  2. Set up an API configuration

  3. Send your data securely to Zilla

Step-by-Step Instructions

To sync data we recommend using the API method. However, you may also sync data with our Browser Extension, follow instructions here: New Relic

Steps to get Required API Config Values

  • Login to New Relic.

  • Click on the avatar icon at the bottom left corner, then click on API keys.

  • Create an API key of type User, its value will be used in config.

  • Click on Authentication Domains to find the authentication domain id.

 

Setup New Relic Application Integration on Zilla

  • Visit the Zilla application and login using your admin credentials and then click Add Application in the top right.

  • A window with a search bar appears, type in New Relic in the search bar and hit enter. New Relic app entry will appear at the top of the list, click Add to Applications button to the right.

     

     

  • Fill in the form with appropriate details and then click Add to Applications.

     

      

  • A detailed view of New Relic application appears. Click Sync now in top right corner.

     

     

  • Enable API Integration and fill in the mandatory fields. Click Next/Sync Now.

API domain is set to “api.newrelic.com“ by default. It could be changed according to the change in the datacenter region. For more info refer: https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/apis/nerdgraph/get-started/introduction-new-relic-nerdgraph/ .

  • Click Next and the sync will begin.

     

     

  • In the next window that pops-up, click Done.

  • Sync summary window will pop-up, check and click Close.

 

When you have finished with all the steps above, return to Zilla and review the information that was synced.
